What are Expanders? Learn How to Use Them for Powerful Manifestation

each month, I’ll pick a person who inspires me. Having expanders can be super helpful and is important to stay loyal to who you desire/envision/decide (yep, synonyms to me) to be!

Before we dive in, what are expanders?

An expander, in the realm of manifestation, is a person, experience, story, or even an idea that serves as a beacon of inspiration. They embody the qualities you desire (and already have!) within yourself, expanding your belief in what's possible and igniting a sense of possibility within your own being. Can even be someone or something that triggered a desire of yours — your initiator.

You don‘t need to fix or heal your self-concept, this mindset would only perpetuate the illusion of separation & you would see more evidence of that. Your highest ideal already exists and you simply decide to awaken her. I find expanders to be very helpful, especially since we have a wonderful little ego we live with — the very aspect of ourselves that gives life to this human avatar we are playing. If you don‘t have expanders in your area which you can meet in person, the World Wide Web is your friend. They say „You‘re the sum of the five people you most spend your time with“ but I don‘t like this, it made me feel limited and that the World of Caesar has some power over me. However, since we discovered Neville Goddard‘s and similar work, we no longer want to entertain that either! Therefore, immersing yourself with the energy of people who uplift you can be very supportive, especially when you feel alone and hopeless in your journey (and this part of you that feels this way is asking for your unconditional love as the divine being that you truly are). In this blog post, I am going to introduce you to a possible expander — a gorgeous one! 🙂‍↔️

In a previous article, I wrote about an ancient, timeless queen who successfully mastered herself and her world, Cleopatra, and this blog post here is dedicated to one of my inspirations & expanders of modern times, 화사 Hwasa (안혜진, Ahn Hye-jin)! I LOVE blending this with manifestation. Manifestation is endless and so is creativity — creativity is manifestation and vice versa.

How Hwasa Shifted Her Self-Concept

Even though she might not be explicitly aware of these teachings or manifestation concepts (or is she? In my inner world, she absolutely is!), her story clearly illustrates how she shifted her concept of self.

Here’s a little background: she didn’t grow up in a wealthy household, but she was raised by loving parents who wholeheartedly supported her dreams. From an early age, she was determined and refused to follow the conventional 'safe' path. Instead of attending university, she made the bold decision to pursue a career as a singer — and she did just that.

Her firm decision brought her dream into tangible expression. I believe this decision reflected her true self — the woman she was meant to embody in this lifetime — emerging from the depths of her being.

Here’s another fact: she chose her stage name, Hwasa, derived from the Korean verb “화사하다” which means “gorgeous” or “beautiful”. What a powerful statement of self-love, don’t you think?

Hwasa went to multiple auditions with her friend from school — and because manifestation is perfect & our heart‘s desires manifest in the most satisfying way: she and her friend 휘인 Wheein (정휘인 Jung Whee-in) ended up being members of the Korean girls’ group Mamamoo. The coolest thing about these beauties is that they are known for challenging beauty standards, the status quo, breaking gender stereotypes, and presenting themselves in a unique, authentic way — this is what makes each one of them so magnetic. Also to me, of course 😮‍💨

Since music can be a wonderful tool to shift your state, here is a self-love hymn from these powerful women! ⤵

How You Can Work With Your Expanders After You’ve Discovered Them:

After you’ve discovered your expander(s), explore:

  • “What do I admire in them?”

  • “What about them and their life inspires me?”

  • “How can I start embodying these qualities?” — Feel into them instead of trying to wrap your logical mind around this question

  • “What can I implement into my life now? (e.g. being authentic and a good listener in conversations, upgrading your wardrobe)

Now, let‘s go one level deeper — inquire:

  • “What if what I admire in others is already within me?”

  • “When it comes to qualities, such as confidence, easy-going, prosperity — how does {insert quality} feel in my body?”

  • “How would {insert Expander} navigate this challenge or situation?” — This is a fantastic practice for cultivating Oneness. Try tuning into their energy and see where it leads you

Having Expanders can not only help you elevate how you go about life and receive new insights, but it can also be fun and helpful to dissolve the illusion of distance between your idol and yourself — knowing they are animated by the same life force that animates you. There is no separation, there is no pedestal. I like to see people I admire as mirrors who show me what is within me as well!
